      Mr. Chang entered Taiwan Railways Administration through special examination in 1980, who has served for 35 years. He started from the basic level and returned to his hometown Yuanlin to act as the director in 2010, and undertook the great responsibility of post reconstruction of elevated railway. Yuanlin Train Station belongs to the first-grade station, with 1 director in the director room, 3 vice directors in the traveling rooms, 10 staffs in the ticket sales room, 5 staff in the ticket check room, 3 staffs in the luggage room, 2 staffs in the general affairs office and 3 terminal attendants.

      Mr. Chang says with smile , “the biggest difficulty in engineering is the endless complaint”. The station was originally provided with two island-type platforms with four rails. After the commencement of the project in September 2008, there were only two rails and one platform, and they were transformed into temporary rails and platform in November 2010. The project period is a dark period of traffic, now the elevated train station has been formally put into use, and the nightmare can be eliminated.

      The space under the elevated bridge belongs to Taiwan Railways Administration, while the planning is conducted by Changhua County Government and Yuanlin Township Office, at present, it has been planned in four sections through bid invitation. It is expected to arrange a business district and parking space in the station square at the east and west entrances, the Railway Silo is provided with a parking space toward the double level sections in the north in cooperation with the fruit and vegetable markets, and some area is planned as a community activity and leisure sites. The section in the south is still under planning.

Through the anti-shape education of Jingsiou Vanguard Team, perhaps “Jingsiou Train Station” really might be established in the near future, making the memory of 100 years’ Yuanlin Railway memory have a home.
