Love Yuanlin Railway Obstacle Course

     The obstacle course lasted for 4 hours, and only more than 300 classmates from 10 classes could register. Jingsiou Vanguard Team cooperated to plan 6 passes, including drive off, salty, sour and sweet ART, Yuanlin Railway poem, Yuanlin Railway time machine, train sign board and conductor training class dynamic experience etc. The activity was started lively on the morning of January 23, 2015.

6 education stations have their own excellence

       Yu-jie, Chien-chen and Meng-fan acted as the head of “drive off”, and it was needed to complete the jigsaw of Yuanlin Railway within 90s. Yu-shuo, Chia-chun and Hong-ruei acted as the head of “salty, sour and sweet ART”, and it was needed to match thepublic art work of Yuanlin Train Station with the interpretation. “Reading Yuanlin Railway poem” was the responsibility of Yi-ru and Cheng-wei, the poems were selected from 5 poems in south Fujian dialect by Huangxi writer Mei-tu Chiu, and everyone was requested to read the poems in their hometown.

 

      “Yuanlin Railway time machine” was served by Ruo-ci, Lin-yong and Miao-lei, it was required to correctly sequence the time card and event card of Railways Administration, Railway Silo, Central Region Engineering Office. There were more heads in “train sign board”, it was needed to simulate the early steam train, make Q train sign board, doorman red flag, round warning board, Changhua south station board, 10 conductor caps, and those participating in the obstacle course were requested to experience the work of throwing sign board as a conductor. The “conductor training class” was to simulate the traffic sign of Yuanlin Railway, there was limitation board of 5km/h, stop, notice, whistling and level crossing fence. The locomotive of light railway was marked with “Jingsiou” by President Huang in person, painted by Cheng-wei, and the writer Mei-tu Chiu wrote the first pair part “Like walking in the spring breeze”, the second pair part “Resembling hand in summer” and the top scroll “Jingsiou Station reoccurs in Yuanlin Railway”, and a happy atmosphere was provided according to the spring couplets pasting in the spring festival of Taiwan.

     With a long queue, the classmates were happy in the learning. At 9:30am, Teacher Mei-tu brought the journalists of SDTV, Mr. Shih-yuan Hsu made the program on site, and the head explained the original design meaning. Mr. Hsu nodded his head for approval, Teacher Mei-tu explained the motivation and purpose of rescuing and establishing Yuanlin Railway Jingsiou Station, ad Ruo-ci expressed the actual condition and idea of the head naturally and gracefully.

Tourists from Kyushu Island (Japan) gave thumbs up
     At 10:30am, President Huang brought more than 10 members of parent-child groups from Kyushu, Japan, and they raised their thumbs for the intention of preserving Yuanlin Railway cultural relics in the school, and also raised that the school education was active and significant, and especially when seeing the steam train and old station in the cultural relic museum, they discused continuously and took photo for memory.

     The activity was still not stopped until 12:00, although Jingsiou Vanguard Team made efforts to greet, interpret, explain, say thanks and the members had their lips dried, they felt warm with the warm sunshine.
