Jingsiou Vanguard Team Railway Lecture Tour

      From January 23 to 26, 2015, Jingsiou Vanguard Team carried out a lecture tour by group to share the research achievements on Yuanlin Railway to the classmates, and educate everyone to join the action of concerning hometown and loving Yuanlin Railway. Before the lecture, the team members prepared the information. Hsin-yu, Ruo-ci, Yi-ru and Yu-jie practiced in our own class first. Our classmates gave us positive feedbacks, and kindly reminded us to add more information about Yuanlin.

      On the morning of January 23, we prepared the projector, computer and other equipment in the computer room on the 5th floor, and invited the classmates in Class 601, Class 602 and Class 603 to attend the lecture. Facing nearly 100 classmates for the first time, we had our feet trembling nervously. The Q&A topics given by Yi-ru aroused a hot discussion. Although we didn’t control the timing well, with the impromptu guidance of the teachers, we ended our lecture successfully in the thunderous applauses. We got together for review and decided to increase more relevant contexts and background knowledge about South Yuanlin Station, Yuanlin Train Station, Railway Silo, Central Region Engineering Office, so that the students could know more about historical backgrounds about their hometown. We highlighted that there was no limitation in age for the love to hometown, and used the actual action of Jingsiou Vanguard Team as an example. Even students young like us have the ability to love their hometown.

      Our second lecture was held in Class 210. The younger students responded well to the environmental problem of elevated Yuanlin Railway. In addition, we shared the skill on how to carry out interviews. Our third lecture was held in Class 402. The students listened carefully. Finally, we discussed the environmental problems of Yuanlin Railway with the students, and we saw their concerns with the environment of our hometown. Our fourth lecture was held in Class 405, and we became very skilled in giving presentation.

 

       Soon, the lecture tour was ended. It is hoped that our efforts will be seen by more people and that everyone, regardless of age, will know about the historical culture of Yuanlin Railway in the hometown and carry out effective hometown love action.
