Visiting Taichung Vision Hall               Photo and text/Jingsiou Vanguard Team   2014.12.17

      On the morning of Wednesday on December 17, Jingsiou Vanguard Team sent to Taichung by interval train from Yuanlin elevated station to visit Taichung Elevated Railway Vision Hall. After taking the train, the team members asked the passengers to fill in the questionnaires by group, and even the handsome conductor filled in the questionnaire!

Coexistence of project and cultural assets
      We appreciated the films about the elevated railways in Taiwan in the Vision Hall, then we visited the display in the hall, and there were 10 stations in the whole elevated railway. Central Region Engineering Office practically protected the cultural assets and cultural relics, like a lot of ceramic fragments for thousands of years discovered in Daqing Train Station and the cultural relics of the Qing Dynasty discovered in Taichung Train Station. Because of the elevated engineering, Tanzi Silo should be demolished. The engineering personnel numbered and reserved the bricks for reconstruction. Besides, the stilted building residents paid more attention to communicate and make documentary, which is worth studying.

Thank the backstage heroes of elevated railway
      Mr. Lin said that the elevated railway in Taichung was a huge project, and it was executed by the Taiwan team. The team worked hard during the 4 hours when the railway was powered off in the middle night. The engineering personnel usually could not take care of their home all year around. When we enjoy the convenience brought by the elevated railways, we really should thank the hero team behind the elevated railway.
