Visiting Taichung Vision Hall

     The teacher led us to visit Taichung Vision Hall, and Mr. Lin made a brief report. The railway is from Fengyuan Train Station in the north and to Daqing Train Station in the south, with a total length of 21.7km. There are five stations constructed, respectively Fengyuan Train Station, Tanzi Train Station, Taiyuan Train Station, Taichung Train Station and Daqing Train Station, and another five stations are newly built, respectively Fengnan Train Station, Toujiacuo Train Station, Songzhu Train Station, Jingwu Train Station, and Wuquan Train Station.


     We understood the plan of elevated railway in Taichung, memory of life and railway, station design and building art and engineering technology, together with Mr. Ren, making us have a preliminary understanding to the elevated railway of Taiwan. Finally, we pressed the memorial ticket of “happiness assurance” in the simulated ticket sales machine as the memorial gift. During the activity of questions and answers, everyone answered fluently, ending this intellectual traveling.


     On our way home, we went back to Yuanlin by train from Taiyuan Train Station, knowing that Taiyuan Train Station would be demolished in 2015 after the elevated railway is put into operation, we were quite reluctant, and we took more photos for memory. After returning to Yuanlin, we immediately continued the questionnaire by three groups to end the full day. The elevated railway brings prosperity and convenient traffic, but the heavy task behind and the feeling of the local people to safeguard their homeland behind the railway or the topic of alternation and preservation of the modern and traditional railway culture can be satisfactory only with wisdom!
