The Reflection Of Fund-Raising in Yuanlin Market

图片
By Huang Zhen-wei
Originally, we planned to do fund-raising in front of Yuanlin Township Office; however, we were informed that we couldn’t sell products in this area. In this situation, we had no choice but to change the way. Thus, we tried to sell products along the street.
With the help of my mom, I have confidence in explaining our aims to donation. Most people would buy clay works or post cards to support our activity. What’s more, some stores helped us promote our fund-raising activity with passion. I really appreciate their help since they’re willing to donate money for charity.

Arriving at the Yuanlin Market, we were divided into two groups. One is for the right street; the other is for the left street. Xin-yu and I were in the same group. At the beginning, we sold lots of products; meanwhile, we met something special. For example, an aunt said “If you can answer my question, I would buy a set of postcards.” Thus, we tried our best to come up with the good answer. Then, we went to Yuanlin Park to promote our activity for charity. Its’ so lucky that a group of elder people donated one hundred for us, and we gave them some spring couplets.
In my opinion, it’s a meaningful activity because I plunked up my courage to talk with strangers during the fund-raising event. Meanwhile, I can help those who need help.
