Mi Fu

图片
Mi Fu (A.D.1051~1107), was appointed by Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty as the doctor of painting and calligraphy called “Mi Nan Gong”. Mi Fu has a special hobby to collect stones of different shapes and even blew his head to call a unique stone brother. That’s why he has nickname “Crazy Mi”.

Once when Emperor Huizong of Song Dynasty sent him a famous ink stone, he immediately ran with it to fear the emperor’s regret even though he looks dirty by the ink on his clothes. One day when he went to Huang He Mountain at southern superb to pick up stones and got nothing, he decided to rest. Suddenly he found the scenery is so splendid that he borrowed ink and paper from a monk to make ink bit by bit to render a Chinese ink painting with on the paper, which is named “He Lin Yan Yun (Cranes among forest with clouds like streamer)”.

The monk just knew how noted the client is when he saw the signature on the painting, therefore he decided to exchange the painting with this place. Later on, Mi Nan Gong settled in this new house of He Ling Temple and his unique painting technique is called “Mi Jia Mountain” painting technique.
