Chu Suiliang

Chu Suiliang is a famous calligrapher in the tang dynasty, born in a scholarly family. In his childhood, he not only read prose, but like to practice calligraphy. When he was young, he strongly admires the old calligrapher - Yu Shinan, and often borrowed copybook from a friend to copy. With the time going on, the similarity can be deceiving.
Once, Chu visits Yu Shinan complacently, Yu Shinan tells him that his past teacher Zhiyong has learned calligraphy for 10 years, every time, after Thousand-character classic, he would be sweating, perspiration wets two layers of clothes. Can you do this? Then says: Ouyang is not particular about the pen and writing paper, and he can write so well, but what about you?
You can only write soso with a good pen, a piece of good paper. Chu went red both face and ears. From then on, he is more diligent, and e eventually became a contemporary calligrapher in the name of the second to none.
