The origin of Xin He Chun Sauce Factory can be traced back to Taisho period under Japanese rein. It had been running for a hundred year, taken over by the third generation of the family. Its way of brewing the sauce carefully follows the age old methods, the process of which is fairly complex, time consuming and requires great efforts. It is the only a-hundred year-old purely hand-made dry black soy bean soy sauce factory existed in Taiwan.

Xin He Chun Sauce Factory is around Shetou Train Station. One can get to it in one minute by feet from the train station. It is a tourism factory. If one needs a tour, one can make a reservation in advance. They are very friendly when showing you around the factory and explaining to you how the sauce is made.
