“2017 Lantern Festival in Yunlin – Rise at Roosters' Crow (吉鳴雲揚)” had arranged two major lantern districts –one in Huwei and the other in Beigang. In their own ways, the lanterns presented the uniqueness of Yunlin's natural ecosystems, green energy technology, multi-ethnic groups, folk cultures, conventional arts and religious beliefs. We visited the one in Yunlin High Speed Rail district, the area of which was wide. There were six themes and the one we visited was “Glove Puppets in Chun Qiu” (偶戲春秋). In it, we saw many huge lantern made after the big figures in Glove Puppetry. They were really tall, which caught eyes.
