In the 17th Century towards the end of Ming dynasty, there was a poor scholar named Liang Bing Lin living in Quanzhou City, Fujian Province. One day when he was on the way to the capital to take the exam, he had a dream of a silver-haired old man writing four words – Universe in Your Hand -on his hand. He thought it was an omen of good grades on the exam. It turned out, however, that he failed. In his frustration, he took out and played with a puppet that was an improved dummy doll to ease his despair. Yet, as unexpected as it was, he performed the puppet show better and better and his show was widely loved. He became the grandmaster at last.
