Introduction

The Ambassador: Miss Mei-Du Chiu

        Miss Chiu is currently working at the Jing-Siou Elementary school as the Lead of Information. She is not only a Local Language teacher, but also a crucial practitioner of the important regional history, and is dedicated in the writing of the regional history. She has won the award of Outstanding Alumnus from the National Changhua University of Education, the Award of Huangsi Literature, the National Publication Award, Excellent Book Award from the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan Reference Award from the National Museum of History. She had published nine village history books such as“The Visit of Yong-Jing Street”.

 

 

 

        Miss Chiu is specially invited as part of the staffs to this pilgrimage to San-Sen Temple. Through her rich literature resources and experience, as well as the varieties of literacy and historical materials, students are able to learn the ways or writing from the content of the books, and further understand community vitality. They can then create a true memory of Taiwan history through their hometown.

 

 

 

        Through Miss Chiu’s expert explanation and introduction, students are able to understand the rarely knew history of San-Sen Temple. They can experience the original style and features of the community, as well as the pleasant amazement and changes of times, through the old pictures presented in the books as if they were actually there with the history themselves. The students can also discover many connections from their daily lives, which is helpful in prepping their knowledge before the beginning of this event.
